Reefer telematics · New Zealand

One box for Thermo King and Carrier. No OEM box needed.

Reefer Tech Pro reads the reefer controller directly and shows the whole unit: setpoint, return and discharge air, mode, alarms, defrost, engine hours and unit status. It's live over 4G with GPS, and there is no reefer maker subscription.

Built by a reefer technician with 22 years of hands-on Thermo King experience. Field-tested with NZ fleets.

Three ways to watch a reefer.

A probe tells you the load is warm. An OEM box tells you why, for its own brand. Reefer Tech Pro reads Thermo King and Carrier units with the same box.

What you see

The whole unit, live.

A probe gives you one temperature. Reefer Tech Pro shows what the controller knows, for Thermo King and Carrier units, in one dashboard.

Live temperatures

Setpoint, return air and discharge air, read from the controller instead of a probe you add.

Mode, status and defrost

Running, off or in defrost, and the mode it's running in. Engine hours help you plan servicing.

Alarms

The unit's own alarm codes, named in plain English and listed worst first, so you can act before the load warms up.

Two-way control

Change the setpoint, start a defrost or clear an alarm from the office.

Supported Thermo King units. Carrier units are monitor only.

4G and GPS

The box has its own 4G connection and GPS. See where every trailer is and how old each reading is.

History and reports

Temperature history with every defrost marked. Download a PDF or CSV for a customer or an auditor.

Two-way control

Change the unit from the office.

Some problems don't need someone at the trailer. On supported Thermo King units, a manager can make these changes from the dashboard.

01

Change the setpoint

Loaded at the wrong setpoint? Set the right one without a trip to the trailer.

02

Start a defrost

Start a manual defrost and watch the readings on the same screen.

03

Clear an alarm

Once the cause is dealt with, clear the alarm without sending someone to the unit.

Managers only. Each command is confirmed before it is sent.

Supported Thermo King controllers. Carrier units are monitored, not controlled.

How it works

Fit, connect, monitor, control.

  1. STEP 1

    Fit

One box fits to each reefer unit. The same box works with Thermo King and Carrier, so there is no OEM box to buy.

  2. STEP 2

    Connect

The box comes online over 4G with its own GPS. It doesn't need the driver's phone or depot Wi-Fi.

  3. STEP 3

    Monitor

Live readings, alarms and location show in the Reefer Tech Pro dashboard on a phone, tablet or computer. There is nothing to install.

  4. STEP 4

    Control

On supported Thermo King units, change the setpoint, start a defrost or clear an alarm from the office.

Questions

Common questions.

Do I still need a Thermo King or Carrier telematics box?

No. The Reefer Tech Pro box reads the reefer controller itself, so you don't need an OEM box or a reefer maker subscription.

Which units does it work with?

It works with Thermo King and Carrier units. Controllers differ by model and age, so tell us what you run when you book a demo and we'll tell you what we support.

Can I control Carrier units remotely?

No. Carrier units are monitored: you see the readings, alarms and status. Changing the setpoint, starting a defrost and clearing alarms work on supported Thermo King controllers.

Does it work with our existing telematics?

Yes, it runs alongside it. A Geotab add-in is in progress. If you use Wialon, EROAD or another platform, talk to us about getting reefer data into it.

Is Reefer Tech Pro approved by Thermo King or Carrier?

No. Reefer Tech Pro is an independent New Zealand company. It works with Thermo King and Carrier units, but neither company makes, approves or endorses it.

What does it cost?

You pay Reefer Tech Pro for the box and the service on one bill, with no reefer maker subscription. Book a demo and we'll take you through pricing for your fleet.
